everytime I turn the key to ignition and wait for the "wait to start light" to go out there is a buzzing sound coming from under the dash for about 2 seconds and then it stops. then sometimes when I try to start the truck it will do it and the truck will just crank, if I turn it off and try again it starts right up. Anyone had this problem. I wasnt sure if it was a relay or something going bad

:whs: And make sure your connections are good and tight.
Weak batteries could do it also. Don't replace just one. Do them both.

This may or may not be what your problem is, but the symptom sounds really similar. I didn't have a no start problem, but....

My 02 started buzzing under the dash one time just going down the road. It would buzz all-day sometimes. I finally found a relay under the dash that was doing all the buzzing, and I unplugged it and my blinkers quit working. I replaced the relay and the new relay immediately started buzzing. After contacting Ford, I replaced my multi-function switch and the buzzing went away.

You might look and see if you can find the source of the buzzing. I remember that the relay was almost impossible to reach, but it was up under the dash between the steering wheel and radio/ac controls.

One of those relays up under there is the fuel pump relay, bet that is the one buzzing. And yes they are a major PITA to get to.

my truck does the same exact thing, having the buzz under the dash on a cold morning when i turn the ignition on. When i hear it i turn the ignition off and back on and it does not come back. Truck starts fine.

Another question when starting should the battery light flash?

I have had the annoying buzzing sound and then it went to a clicking sound that made me crazy. It stopped everytime I applied the break. Jody pulled the fuse to the ABS relay and a couple others. The sounds are gone, but the issue is not fixed.

He ordered new battery cables and will be replacing them very soon.
