Dont know if im going to spell it right but aeration or stop pouring the kids bubbles in there....it doesent make bubbles out the exhaust.

Maybe try changing your oil or a different brand

hehe, I am due for a change and this is.......... guess what.... Rotella.

I usually run DELO but a friend gave me some Rotella and I used it when I was going out of town.

Switching back to DELO and seeing what happens..

I don't mean to high jack your thread, but I don't think my motor like Delo. It seems to start harder and idle a little more erratic when I use Delo.

I started using Rimula 15w-40 which is a Shell product. I'm not sure how it's different from Rotella, but my motor seems to like it the best.

Have you done any UOA's comparing the two?

If your truck likes it go for it. My truck runs quieter and smoother on DELO, plus when I first got my truck, no chip or anything, it would romp like mad on startup, even in warm weather.

Switch to DELO fixed that as well.

I've never done any tests on the oil. Just tried different oils to see which seemed to work the best.

As you own and drive a truck you start to learn all the little quirks it has, and how it reacts to different things. You notice things when driving your truck that someone else driving it wouldn't.

That being said, from that point of view, I feel my truck "runs" the best on the Rimula. That's purely in my head specualtion with no formal testing or data.

We run all our equipment and trucks on Schaeffers oil been the best oil for us I have a tractor that has over 14k hrs on it and it's only had a HG go out so I think it's great oil.

I wanted to try schaffers. thehammer69 has been using it though and found out it shears down to a 30wt in something like a couple thousand miles.

DELO holds up well for me but it does need changed more often with the dual pumps. Maybe just a fact of life.

i have had oil pump gears on some of the boats i have done work on being the cause of the problem
All it takes is one small bur on the gear for it to cause cavitaion
the smallest thing could be the cause though

Thank you thats the word I was looking for.

You also may notice this when the oil is hot, which could be from the oil draining back into the pan.I notice this alot on our tractors when they pull back into the yard after being out all day.

kinda funny you asked about this
i had to replace an oil pump today on a generator on the boat for te same reason new pump bubbles/foam is gone
changed the oil first and was still doing it so start from the cheapest spot and work your way up!

Hope just changin the oil does it for you though

ff98, no more problems.

Topped it off that night with rotella and got the air out of the fuel system.

Changed oil the next day back to DELO 400 LE (what I normally use) and she's runnin smooth as silk.

Not sure what the issue was, maybe just due for an oil change. I also know my truck doesn't like Rotella, had the romps when I first got it and bone stock on Rotella.

Switch to DELO cured that as well.
