Lost a nozzle on #8 a while back. Scoped the cylinder and didn't find anything and the top of the piston looked good. Ran a cold engine compression test and here are the results,
#1=400 #2=440
#3=450 #4=430
#5=400 #6=420
#7=480 #8=500
These are max PSI and all cylinders achieved max in 5 or 6 revolutions.
Is #8 out of whack?
Any thoughts on the results or am I good to go? Thanks

I turned the motor over with the glow plugs out by hand and then with the starter to get any fluid out. No fluid is comming out of any of the cylinders during the test. All the glow plugs are out during the test, would that give me the high numbers?
The 500PSI is was what threw me. The guage is brand new.
Now what?
And thank you for your help.

OK so these number are bogus. Will get it running again to burn any fluid out of the cylinders and check compression again.
