I bought some chromemoly pushrods from Rudys diesel they look great the only problem I have is that they are shorter than stock pushrods is this normal?
stock pushrods are 9.849
chromemoly pr are 9.797
that is 0.052 difference or almost 1/16 of a inch
will this make the engine (6.4 job 1 with stock cam) act different ?
or is this one of Ford changes?
I have talked to rudys and elite they say that they with work
but I need more information don't want to have to go back in over 0.052 of a
inch.

There fine. Just be sure to bump the engine over a few times with the valve covers off to make sure the lifters pump up and nothing jams up. There shorter for the guys who deck there heads.

the pushrods for a 6.0 diesel are exatctly 9.847.
the pushrods for a 6.4 diesel are exactly 9.800.

the cam in a 6.4 is higher,so they can run the hpfp faster.
i would call rudy

if the pushrods you installed are 9.800? then yes theyre the correct length for a 6.0. if thats the case you dont need to talk to ford, you need to talk to rudy. from your original post it says you removed 9.849(9.847 corrected) and installed 9.800 from rudy./ the truck had the correct length pushrods in it.

The Early 6.4 engines came with longer pushrods that were the same as the 6.0. They have been superseded to a shorter pushrod (by Ford). Our pushrods are a drop-in replacement. You will be fine.

This post is confusing because he is not working on a 6.0, its a 6.4. Either way he has the correct pushrod.
