I have a 1996 F-250 with the 7.3L and plug it in during the winter so it won’t give me trouble starting it in the morning, but recently the plug somehow got clipped and I need to install a new plug but I’m not sure where the heater is. Any help is much appreciated!

The heater is located right above the oil filter.

You can usually just replace the plug on the end of the cord or the whole cord itself. The cord is held onto the heater by just a clip that you can remove and then pull the cord out

I replaced the end of my block heater cord when I installed the receptacle in the bumper. Cheers!

Lots of folks use the Marinco receptacle, but I decided to use the Kenworth parts (the flip cover and receptacle) along with a round male extension cord replacement that fit into the Kenworth part perfectly. Cheers!
