I shredded my fan belt this morning. I got a new one and while trying to put it on it will not work the way the factory picture is showing on the fan shroud. Anyone give me any help of advice.

Should work the way the diagram sticker for your engine in front of your rad shows. Are you moving the idler pulley enough to get the belt on? Very odd, maybe they gave the wrong part?

Don't know what to tell you. It has to work unless you got the wrong part. What is the part number of your belt?

Also - you say you can't do it, what specifically is the problem?

You do have the tensioner locked in the "release position" don't you? If you do and still can't get it, then some people find it easier to just go ahead and remove the tensioner to install the belt.
