I got a 2000 f350 7.3. I have to jump it to start it but once its started jt wont die or anything until I shut it off. Battery gauge on dash will drop at idle to almost nothin but truck won't die and gauge rises when I accelerate or rev up truck. If I shut truck off it'll not start backup and shows no voltage on gauge. Is it my batteries or deeper issue?

there are too many variables to just say bad batteries.
you need to do some tests first.
engine warm and running, what is voltage going into batteries?
should be around 14 volts for a good charging system.
if you only have 12 volts running warm engine, i would say alternator needs testing. and don't be surprised if testing tells you both alternator AND batteries are bad.

Yes I have but wanted some advice before I did. Turns out I pur wrong relay for glow plugs. Swapped it out with right one and havent had issue since.
