Tired of messing with Interstate. Looks like I have one or more weak batteries again. What is a good reasonably priced battery with a no hassle warranty? Thinking Walmart or Oreilly. Think I've lost faith in Interstate and am not sure you get what you pay for......

Guess it could be the truck sat for so long that they went bad not having a constant charge like they would If the truck was running.

Im running on one optima red top in mine and its cranking fine. Fixing to add another one to it as I had to pull the last normal battery from it shorting and turning itself into a 5 volt battery. Even with it trying to kill the optima it still was cranking even with it in there.

Buy a pair of Die Hard Platinums. If you like them I might buy a pair for myself. My batteries are almost 5 years old.

I use a pair of Optima's, red tops, and never had a problem. I've even left it unplugged overnight, in -40*F, started like it was new. I've warranteed one of them, got a replacement over the counter.

The thing I like best about my red top is I never have to clean it. Over 3 years old & 4 trucks later it's still working great.

Well....had to have some. It almost wouldnt start.

Bought the Oreilly Extremes. 3 yr replacement (same as Optima) and then prorated out to 84 months.

Fires right up now.
Good choice I love the warrantee on them. Some of the extremes are gel cell type.

duralast gold.Best batteries I ever owned. The interstates never last for me.I tried the walmart yellows last winter when my interstates died at 2 years old and they were junk.Took them back because they would go dead after siiting for a day in the cold.Walmart did not want to give me my money back or replacements. They had a tech come and put a hand held voltage meter on and say they were fine.I said try that after its been out in the cold for a few hours and not in the nice heat of the store. They wouldn't even load test them. They got pissed,I got pissed,I yelled ,they yelled,I got my money back and was escorted out of the store along with my wife and daughter.Fun times at Wally wolrd.Put duralast golds in and the truck and now it can sit for a week in the winter and still start fine without a jump.I also have 2 friends and my father in law that have had mutiple issues with the walmart yellows. All are on there second or third battery and all are not happy.Plus there warrenty sucks compared to duralasts.Had the duralasts in all my vehicles for the last 6 years and never a problem.

I plan on dropping 2 Optima Red tops in my truck this week. My duralasts are junks, and I am getting my good Optima out of my car. Not too shabby can't wait for clean terminals all the time.
