I have a 2004 6.0 that I had a long block built for and I cant get base oil pressure. If you crank it without starting it it will build over 70psi of pressure if you start it it wont built any pressure at all. I am at a loss and everyone I have talked to is also any help would be appreciated!

That doesn’t make sense. The truck won’t run without base oil pressure. So how is it running with no base pressure? How long are you cranking it to achieve 70 psi of pressure?

It is possible to run and not have base pressure when I first put the it in I had this problem and it ended up being a oil galley plug the builder left out. It takes probably 4 or 5 seconds to build 70 psi.
