The truck I recently acquired has a Banks Six Gun installed on it. After reading several threads about it, I'm thinking about removing it. I found the Banks manual on their website with the removal instructions.

My truck has the triple gauge package on the pillar (trans temp, boost, and EGT).

My question is... Can I keep the gauges and remove the Banks system? Should I keep it set to position 1 and just leave it in place (its currently on 3 and the truck runs great (seemingly anyway)?

I want this truck to be a reliable as possible, some of what I read about the Banks system concerns me. Feel free to calm my fears!

Regards,

To my understanding the 3 pod gauges should be totally separate than the banks 6 gun. I would just completely remove the banks and if you want to go with a programmer get a SCT.
