went under the truck the other day to be greeted to it leaking oil and coolant. a little oil from the plug and filter nothing crazy but im loosing coolant from somewhere it looks to be around the pulleys. just did my oil change and it all looked very clean so i don't think i have anything mixing but i am just unsure as to where its leaking from. do these waterpumps tend to have bad seals once in a while? should i be checking other areas of the truck? specs on the truck are 170k, stock everything, new turbo, stock tranny. never chipped. only has single stack and cat air filter.

With the mileage it's probaly due for a new water pump. It is more than likely leaking out the bottom.

You can inspect oil cooler for external oil & coolant leaks. Check gaskets and o-rings.

If you pressure test the coolant system (20-30 psi) with the oil filter off, it will reveal all leaks within the coolant system. I like to start at 15psi, and SLOWLY increase untill I see coolant leaks.

Check the weep hole on the bottom of the water pump snout.
