When purchasing aftermarket wheels, what backspacing and lug pattern do I need to ask for?

Pattern is 8x170, right?

What about the backspacing.

Probably looking to run a 9 or 10" wheel.

It depends on if your lifted or plan on lifting your truck.....most wheels are between 4 and 5" BS......Where are you buying them from....A Shop ? they will usually be able to tell you what you need.

Yep, 8x170mm

You will want to run 4.5" backspacing. You can run 5", but most likely will rub the springs. 4" or less will stick out far and cause clearance issues.

Here's my truck back in 02-03.

4" lift, 35/12.50R16.5 on 16.5x9.75s with 4.25-4.5" BackSpace.

As you can see.....with no flares, the tires throw a lot of crap at the truck:

I gotcha.

I have a set of Outlaw flares at home, just need to paint them.

What width on those wheels?

I think it was gregrob that said once "lifted trucks are GAY..."

Anyway I run 4.5 backspacing on a 10" wheel with 37's... it was the best fit to get them in there...

10" of lift and 44's is gay when it comes to any practical use.

Leveled and 35's is hot, and you can still slap another set of wheels with races tires on and go to the track and run respectable ;) :ford:

You can't fit 44s with only a 10" :pointlaugh:

My 01 is 9.25" over stock.....but only on 38s.
