The Delo 400 LE (CJ-4) is getting harder to find. The new CK-4 version is Delo 400 XSP. In the tech data sheets I’ve found on it, it says “XSP is fully compatible with previous engine models, and previous API oil service categories”. I’m assuming all of the other common synthetic 5w-40 diesel oils (Rotella T6) are also switching over to this new CK-4 “emissions exhaust friendly” oil formulation?

Am I ok to run Delo 400 XSP in my 6.0 powerstoke even though it’s not CJ-4 rated?

If not, what are you guys running in your 6.0’s? I’m assuming that eventually it’s going to be all but impossible to find any CJ-4 rated oils for our trucks.

I stick with Rotella T6 simply because it's a good formulation which I can run for extended intervals, and it is readily available at wally world. As for the Delo, see my reply to your T6 vs Delo post.
