The official release date is 12/1/07. The ReSpeed retails $249.00 for 04 and older style trucks. $299.00 for 05 and newer model trucks.

The main functions are:

Recalibrates tire size and/or gear ratio for accurate speed readings to gain precise engine performance and speedometer display.

The ReSpeed can turn off the speed limiter or set the maximum speed the computer sees for optimum engine performance.

Applications are available for all major diesel brands and gas applications.

Zane @ *** has played a major role in helping with the OBS ReSpeed design.
The ReSpeed enabled Zane to break the 114mph barrier and reach his new best of 10.86 @ 124.5mph. The ReSpeed also works on ALL Ford, Dodge & Chevy Diesel & Gas applications.

Installation time - Est 30 minute. Detailed photo instructions are being designed at this time.

Is it a plug and play kind of thing or do you have to cut and splice and fish things out of connectors?

The ReSpeed is basically a 5 Wire hookup.

Power
Ground
Input
Output
Switch - Used to turn speed limiter on & off

The vehicle speed sensor wire is cut and spliced to hook up output/input.

Your basically looking at an approx 30 minute install.

Can't that all be done in tuning?
The speed limiter, yes.

The speedo calc...no. You can do it with a Ford scaner, but only up to 35's...

I have been waiting for AE to come out with an update to let us reprogram the comp for this... But nothing yet.

I'm pretty sure Jody calibrated a couple SD's when he was here LIVE tuning:shrug:.

As for the OBS speed limiter, I know he can program around that.;)

As far as I know there is no way thru a Chip to reprogram for bigger tires, Maybe he used a scanner? Speed limiter is easy...

The Respeed was designed to calibrate the speedometer and remove the speed limiter and will be used through the 4x4 liftkit companies . On the OBS trucks they were stuck at 114mph, even when trying to remove it through programming it was still stuck around the 114mph mark. With the respeed you can clip the mph at 75 mph, which is the threshold that your injectors are at the max fuel delivery. Your RPM's will rise and your computer will think it is under heavy load and continue to maintain max fuel delievery while past the 75mph mark.

We added the speed limit removal portion of the respeed as a bonus. You probably can have your speedometer recalibrated by a ford dealer but they can only do it to a certain tire size. You can also have it recalibrated by a tuner but that means several times shipping back and forth. This unit takes the headache out of it and we will also have a program on our site that will allow you to put in your old tire size along with your new tire size and the program will tell you where to set the dip switches at.

Nice! I like dip switches instead of turning the stupid dial on my Truspeed. :bowfast:
