Split an Eagle Eye headlight? I'm definately too scared to be the first... Last time I tried to split a light, it was the turn signal on my F-150, when I grabbed it out of the oven, the lens caved in... So obviously I didn't do that one quite right...

Maybe a little more "medium-rare" than "well done"? :poke:

Some sealants / glues will not soften when heated. You simply need to cut the housing open with a cut off wheel and then seal it back up when finished.
I know that some Ford housings do fall in this category.

mmm, now I'm getting hungry LOL

curious about this too. I am REALLY tempted to try this with my OEM lights soon. Worst case I need to buy harley lights so I can join the cool kids club anyways. So if I screw these ones up I just gotta buy the harleys anyways. Wouldn't mind having a "junk" light to practice on first though.

Has anyone ever tried some sort of a hot knife instead of baking them, or is baking the only way to go about it?

Cool! Is it an Eagle Eye light? I just bought mine, and I want to get rid of the orange deflectors, I'm just anxious about melting a brand new light....
