Anybody dyno DP-tuner 80e and PHP 80 performance tunes?

I not looking to start a tuner war, I was just curious if anyone has had both and knows how these two tunes compare for dyno numbers only. They drive differently, but I am curious if anyone knows which one makes more power on the dyno. This would be on your basic stock truck, exhaust, filter and chip only. Thanks.

I would say they would be very similiar....havent dynoed back to back, but i would venture that guess

I got a super 80E that jody put on mine. It is way better than the regular
80E. Lots more power than the regular 80E.:ford:

The 80E that is put on the tuner is a "HALF CAFF" version. I was having problems with that so Jody put on a 80E "FULL CAFF" version. (SUPER 80E)
It is way more aggresive. Lots of power at the bottom.

Jody's Orginal 80E he built for Subman back in 2005 dynoed at the rw's 105 hp over stock. He stills uses it. Since then Jody has made some tweaks. My Ex dynoed in the 80E at did 309.21/672.02 at Fall Bawl 2007. At Smokin' 2008 it dynoed at 328.82/663.74 with only minor changes.

He has made more changes since then, but I have not had it dynoed yet.

Diane,

Is it same to assume Jody is sending out the higher power level of 80E when he emails an update for the F6 to me? All we've been doing is tweaking the shifting to make remove the annoying 40-45mph lug and TC lockup strategy. Works great now! I still have the standard burn of 80E, but it's too aggrevating when driving in town in that same speed range.

I can't answer that. Jody will be back tomorrow. Email him. Tomorrow will be insane trying to get him on the phone it being his first day back from WA.

All I know is I love my 80E for driving around town. I don't have that issue with lugging between 40-45. My TC lockup is perfect for me. Believe me he'd hear about it if it wasn't. Everyone is different as to what they like though.

Oh okay, I have never heard of them, I guess thats what you get for hanging out on FTE.... Has anyone compared DP, TW and swamps?

If the 80e is posting up 100-105hp, what does the 100hp program do? Is it also 100-105hp but different shift stategies?

In recent emails, Jody simply refers to it as "Economy". No mention of 80 at all. He still refers to the tow programs by number.

This morning, Jody emailed me all new tune files with refinements. I got the new Economy tune (aka the 105E). It's seems to be more refined than previous versions. Shifting appears to be a lot better.

LOL, I guess the numbers are not really relevant, are they? We have a few different "economy" tunes now.

60
80
105....

Pick one you would rather use. Good thing with the F6 you can try them before you actually buy them. ;)
