I pulled really gently and firmly and out it came! i dont remember what size drill i used for the reinstall, sorry no help there!

 

No need for the filter minder. I'm pretty sure any idiot can tell when their air filter is dirty.

 

The problem with the Tymar or open air style of of filter is that even when it looks like the Mississippi River on a real bad day it is still good for a lot more miles.

I just replace mine every couple of years.

 

hahaha thanks. another question, when i drive my truck in the morning, or when i first start it up, if i hit the throttle when i start to drive it bogs down and then after a few seconds is kicks the boost up and then goes. idk what its doing. is it not warm yet or.....?

 

Is it making a weird leaf blower type sound? If so then thats normal, thats the EBPV

 

idk really, i gues it is. ill stomp it and then the rpms go up and then come back down.

 

Mine drops rpms like that in my high tunes sometimes when its cold but when it warms up it dosnt. Always wondered on that too. And my ebpv is disconnected.

 

yeah, thats exactly what mine does. but my EBPV is still connected. if i drive her around for a little, it goes away.
