anyone know how to get the mirror turn signal lenses off... i'm replacing mine with Recon lenses buuut i cant figure out how to get the old ones out?????

lol i used a big screw driver earlier does that count??? actually id like to keep the lenses well whats left of the driver side, and the entire passenger lense mostly intact...

I believe I saw a write up on it somewhere. May have been it the left hand column of Guzzles site right here.

I will look around and see if I can find it.

Just adjust the mirror out in each direction and use a long screw driver to reach behind the mirror and unhook the clips.
I think there are like 4 clips...

then once you get that out.. unplug the wire to the lights..

then there are two snaps holding the recon light in. You need like a set of needlenose pliers or regular pliers to pinch down on the snaps I think they are triangle shaped and they push and then pull out from the inside out... if that makes any sense...

yep that makes sence, i got the mirror apart today no hassle and saw the triangle shape you refer to. thanks for all the help.

What mirrors have turn signals?? These off a six leaker?? Never saw a 7.3 SD with turn signals on the mirrors. What'd I miss???

the newer styles... including the 08's can bolt right up to the older trucks..99+

I got mine off www.powerstrokeshop.com or you could find them used somewhere off ebay... just make sure the are OEM...

OK, the old six leaker mirror switch trick. :doh:

if you will use some wire pliers and pinch the triagle clip and push it in at the same time, it should loosen right up and come out.

I installed my clear RECON lenses today on my 6.0. not to bad a deal, just be patient.

yea i replaced my factory mirrors with one off a 2004 heh... i'd tell ya where i got mine from buuuut then i might just hafta kill ya...
