To answer the original question, I am running a set of Casserly's 155's in this engine. My mileage is 18.3 empty @ 70mph (up from 17 on the stock injectors). That is on a crewcab 4x4 dually. Towing 14K I am up almost 1mpg over the stockers.

thats freakin awesome on a dually! best i saw in my old one was 16. ive also been wondering this same thing for awhile im glad someone posted about it

2006 supercab 4x4 - 190s/75 over w powermax riding on 35" toyo MT tires, stock ride height and 3:73. Lucky to get 14 mpg on the highway.

What were you getting with stock turbo, stock injectors, and stock tires??

Smaller displacement engines work harder with large tires, but 14 is pretty low for that setup. With a 4" lift, 35" tires, and 4.30 gears, I get 17 mpg running 65mph on the highway. Around town I get 11-12.

80 mph could be the reason... Power required to overcome the aerodynamic drag increases with the cube (third power) of speed.

So, the aerodynamic power requirement at 80mph is 86% more than at 65 mph.
