To answer the original question, I am running a set of Casserly's 155's in this engine. My mileage is 18.3 empty @ 70mph (up from 17 on the stock injectors). That is on a crewcab 4x4 dually. Towing 14K I am up almost 1mpg over the stockers.

2006 supercab 4x4 - 190s/75 over w powermax riding on 35" toyo MT tires, stock ride height and 3:73. Lucky to get 14 mpg on the highway.

Do 6.0's get worse fuel economy than 7.3's when lifted or big tires? I'm getting better than 14mpg on my 38's. I just bought a 6.0 yesterday and was thinking of putting 35's on it in the future.

Smaller displacement engines work harder with large tires, but 14 is pretty low for that setup. With a 4" lift, 35" tires, and 4.30 gears, I get 17 mpg running 65mph on the highway. Around town I get 11-12.

14 mpg @ 80mph - as I said in my thread, I am low and it pisses me off.

80 mph could be the reason... Power required to overcome the aerodynamic drag increases with the cube (third power) of speed.

So, the aerodynamic power requirement at 80mph is 86% more than at 65 mph.
