I have a 1999 7.3 that has been giving me issues when cold not wanting to accelerate. Now it is doing it when warm. Today it was not moving at all than started revving up and down while slowly moving. Any ideas?

Maybe check the IVS (Idle Validation Switch). Its mounted to the pedal, and if it's not being tripped correctly, the PCM will not recognize the pedal is moving, even if it is.

Mine does this every once in a while, more so when it's cold out (dont know why temperature changes it). I know I need to adjust the little tab that trips the switch.

The ICP sensor was bad. It was going bad for awhile but I did not know the signs to look out for. If your engine surges or what is referred to as bucking when it first starts than it might be this sensor. Thanks for your replies it is running great now.
