Hi there, I'm really hoping someone has seen something like this before.
I've got a new fully rebuilt 2005 motor with most parts brand new. We've been trying all week to get oil into the high pressure oil system. Have yet to see any oil getting into it yet. 0 ICP. Tried putting a vacuum on the ICP hole while cranking and still got no oil in the rail at all. New IPR shows 85% when cranking and we tested it with an air line and it opens and closes correctly when voltage is applied to it.
We were certain it must be a bad HPOP, so we bought another one and still have the exact same problem. Lots of low pressure oil; filter housing fills up nice and fast when cranking (got a new OEM filter cap too just in case). Also cranked the motor over while the HPOP was removed and oil came bubbling out of the HPOP feed from the reservoir right away. Already burned out one starter because of cranking it so much and have another new one now. Brand new stand pipes, dummy plugs, and SCT Fitting.
Everywhere I see people having problems with the HPOP having only 100psi or something like that, but I have absolutely 0 high pressure oil no matter what I do. Anyone have any ideas? I'm pretty stumped at this point.
