Sometimes my truck acts like it's got a miss, but it don't happen all the time. One of the contractors we use said he had the same problem with his early 99 and he changed the injector and that fixed it. Anybody have the same experince with this and if so what was your fix?

could also be a UVC harness
not unless the miss is accompanied with a SES light on.

You could weld all the nozzle holes shut on an injector and the SES light would never come on...the PCM has no way of knowing if an injector is mechanically 'toast'.

however if electrical continuity is lost anywhere in the injection sys circuit...a SES light will remain on.

When my UVCH was intermittant, it set a code but only had a light for a second.

Basically the second any one of the injector ciruits goes open (disconnected) the SES will illuminate and remain that way while the circuit is open.

If you have an injector(s) unplugged you will have a SES the second it is unplugged.

If the circuit is once again re-connected the light will wait a few seconds and then go out, but you will have the "high to low open" code or similar stored in your DTC's.

The ses light has never came on. And it doesn't do it all the time,I notice it the most when I'm driving at 35 mph,(that is the usual speed for my ride home) but sometimes it doesn't do it at all for a while and then it starts back up. And it doesn't affect the performance at all, when it is doing it I can hit the go pedal and it goes without hesitating.

Mine did it, but only at idle, or under load from 45 to 50 MPH. It was a flexplate.

Driving down the interstate at night (only time to see a flinchy SES) mine will just blip so fast that you HAVE to be absolutely Stareing at it to see it. But it will do it on an even interval plus or minus a few seconds with about 30 or so seconds between for as long as you want to drive.

Always has. I quit worrying about it, lol.
