Thats unique, i can't say i've seen it done that way. That's alot of heat, very close to the hood... are you going to be doing anything with that? What kind of engine internals do you have to support that huge ass charger?

NICE:rockwoot:

I was surprised with the heat, or lack thereof actually. I had planned to ceramic coat everything inside and out, but now I'm not sure I need to. The downpipe runs less than a quarter of an inch from the (plastic) heater box and I have been right up near 1200 degrees for minutes at a time (pulling monteagle at speed) and it shows zero sign of heat. I just don't think that much heat is making its way past the first turbine housing. I woln't worry about it until I start towing with it again. I could see that getting those pipes hot again.

Engine has never had the heads off. Stock powerstroke plus studs and valvesprings/pushrods.

Should be good for 700+ on fuel and 600-650 reliably.

That turbo should be good for 1000hp depending on how you use it. Same turbo does right at 1200rwhp on fuel on my buddies car, and has done over 1400rwhp on fuel on some others.

Chuck looks good,

Glad to see you around this site needs a "write UP" person and I think your the man to do it. Have personally seen you write literal BOOKS on TDS before you multiple personalitys and constant bans LOL.

I just shot down the interstate a few exits loaded towing to see just how the setup would work even without a gate and with the 1.39A/R housing on the 47.

I was surprised yet again. No smoke behind the truck (even what felt like deep into the 400's) at 50lbs of boost and no stopping the truck. EGT's were a mild 1150 max except when I put it in OD and let it drop down around 1700rpm and lugged it all the way out uphill. The EGT's "shot" up to 1200 then, lol.

:D

So how much are you gonna sell the kit for? I'd be interested as long as there's a way to keep my ac. :D

Looks good Charles

I'd like to see some video with boost gauges between the stages so we can see where the ratios fall. What are the drive pressures like?

After you critiqued me on our 7.3 towing set up, we swapped housings on the secondary charger, and got things back on track-and picked up 10 PSI at the same time. 50 boost, 38 drive but using much smaller primary than you, and it has A/C.

Cool. Good that y'all are happy with the towing setup. I towed a little over 20k gross today for about 2 hours. Works well, even with the 1.39 housing for now. I can't tune anything until the gate is functional.

Wait, now you can't ask me rhetorical questions about my setup...

:flipa:

On Edit:

Oh and :nopics:
