Yesterday the family piled into the truck to run some errands, I turned on the A/C to cool down the cab(had the 6mo. old with us). When I did this we heard a noise coming from the engine bay followed with the smell of smoke(kinda electrical smell). I quickly pulled over and turned off the A/C, popped the hood to see smoke coming from the front of the clutch/pulley assembly.
I left the A/C off and we finished the errands. I got home and immediately went to check on the belt, pulley, a/c, etc.. Well I noticed the pulley not mooing at all now, the belt is just moving around the frozen pulley.
Is it just the clutch/pulley assembly or the whole compressor? The A/C has been blowing ice cold(when used) until yesterday. I've searched and searched but haven't really found an answer.
Thanks!
