Hey, I have a 1997 obs 7.3L powerstroke.
I've been having problems with idling. It'll go from 600rpms to about 700rpms.
When I hold the throttle at a constant 700 rpms the truck will attempt to stall but it catches itself and starts right back up. It doesn't completely shut off. I went to a mechanic to get it scanned and it wasn't throwing any codes. I just replaced the CPS(CMP) today an the truck is still doing it. The oil doesn't have more then 500 miles on it, and he fuel filter has less. I'm not sure what to look at next. Can ya help please? Thanks in advance

Did you replace it with either a ford or international cps?

unplug your icp sensor and check the connector for oil. regardless of if it has oil in it or not, try starting the truck with it unplugged, and see if the idle changes.
