Never had to do this, but I remember a 1" for every 4" of lift rule-of-thumb (so Brad's suggestion is probably correct). Cheers!

mine was droped 2" with a 8 in lift

I would use a custom DS..one that add a CV after the carrier bearing..its the correct way to fix this and will run smooth!
