Truck starts fine, runs for about ten seconds then dies, like someone shut the key off, no sputtering just dies. You can restart it right away no problem, some times it will be fine but mostly just dies again after 5 seconds or so. Only does this when its cold outside. Anyone have any insite? Also new fuel filter, recent oil change and new filter, and runs fine when temp is warm, only dies when cold outside, whether its plugged in at night or not.

15w40 isn't cold weather friendly for powerstrokes. Could be a number of things, most common, icp sensor. Pull the plug off the sensor and check for oil in it

Does it eventually stay running and let you drive it after multiple restarts? Does holding the revs up help it keep running?

Before it stalls, at what RPM does it idle?

It will idle at 500rpm, but then will randomly die. Sometimes it will let me drive after multiple starts, sometimes it will seem to be fine and ill start driving and it will just die, but will start right back up.

It should idle higher when cold, around 800. If you can get it on a scanner/software/device that will read live data, I would check EOT and IAT before starting the engine.
