I'm sure I read or heard somewhere that the valve covers on the sooper dooties were redesigned and have some sort of insulation in them unlike our OBS covers that are just a single stamped sheet. Anyone confirm that and when the change took place? Anyone have pics of the differences? If they are indeed insulated I'm looking to buy a set if anyone is parting.

The original valve covers are single wall. For sound dampening purposes, the newer valve covers are a sandwich of two metal pieces and some sort of dampening material between them. The change-over year was about late 1995 or early 1996.
