7.3 reliability

So guys I just picked up a 2000 f350 7.3 ccsb a few weeks ago. I wanted to hold out and find 7.3 powerstroke due to their reliability. My brother n law has one and my father n law has two. So far so good with their trucks. My other brother n law has the 6.0 with less than 50,000 and it's been in the shop a few times. Anyways one of my friends bought a 2010 6.4 f350 and gives me a little crap for buying an old 7.3 even though his has been in the shop twice in six months for radiator problems. I think the 6.4 is a great truck but I just wanted the 7.3. I know the 6.4 is a powerhouse but still the 7.3 just keeps going.

There's a reason 7.3s value are going up as they get older.

Bill I agree with you 100%. I've had several 7.3 trucks that all I have ever had to do is change the oil and filters. My F350 has 249,000 and drives like the day I bought it. Just bought an F550 7.3 with only 90,000. Just love those 7.3's. They are called "Legendary" for a reason.
