From the pics the yellow knob appears to be a quick dump for the rear bags, or the actuator for the rear axle to drive.
The rear axles are what is called in agriculture equipment as a 'walking beam axle'. Basically two axles equally spaced on either side of the pivot point. Both axles will carry the load equally to the extent of the travel limitations, and the bed will not move more than 1/2 the difference between heights of the two tires when traversing uneven ground.
That would be really cool in a truck pull.
