with stage 1's, can i get a 6 pos chip tuned for maximum hp gain without effecting my tranny? i just had it re-built, i dont wanna tear it up again. any input is greatly appreciated!

Not sure what you are wanting. Adding HP and tq effects your tranny period.
One of the benefits of good tunes on a 6 chip is that tuners can help with some of the normal stocker slippage. Is this a factory type rebuild or a perf rebuild such as BTS, JW? Stock converter? Valve body?

if you upgraded the converter you will be fine...if you didnt i would recomend doing it and you wont have any issues

i upgraded the converter as well as the valve body, shift kit, ect.

then you will be fine with stage ones..crank it up and enjoy

you should be fine. Just know that custom tunes are alot nicer on the tranny than just your plain edge and bully dog type stuff

be sure to tell them exactly what your tranny has, as the chips control the tranny too. not having the right programing can have hard shifts etc...

remember... slamming into gear is just as bad as slipping into gear. let the tuner know what trans mods are done esp with the line pressures.
