It's a regular cab.

Stock with some minor tweaks for testing.

It's really quiet. The knock sensors have complete control of the fueling.

Stock it spins first gear for about 3 feet. With the tweaks, it burns first gear most of the way through and spins and wiggles on the 2nd gear shift.

It's a great platform to build power. :ford:

So...with my current ####box out of commission for the 3rd time in a week should I jump on a reduced price 6.4 or wait for the 6.7?

Or just build a Cummins to put in it?

Knock sensors on a diesel! What the hell is that all about? Are they there to tune out the noise?

Can't wait to see what you can do with this platform.:ford:

I'm curious about this also. Are they just there for the quiet idle, or are they used through out the fueling needs.

I wonder if these are the same sensors the new volkswagens have.

they detect increases in cylinder pressure and defuel the engine, I am guessing this is what Eric is saying...

either way damn that thing pulls

There are sensors, more like 5, for everything. Example: 14 EGT sensors

Ya know,

If Ford would offer a 6.7 4wd truck for under 30k that had no powertrain warranty..

I'd buy one today.
