I recently blew motor in 2011 ford f550. 6.7 diesel
Had it towed to shop and diagnose.
They said def in fuel caused it
(Have not used def In 1 1/2 years not a possibility that I put it in )
Shop told me to turn in to insurance under vandalism.
I did, adjuster came out price repair within few Dollars of shop
Problem: they are charging me for betterment 5000$. Plus deductible
Because it will have a better motor than it had?
I’m not buying this
Has anyone else had this our heard of such

The shop was slightly lower Than the insurance estimate.
It was the insurance company that was charging me 5000$ because the motor would be newer than I had. I have never herd of such a thing.
To me and thats like saying you get in fender bender and hey say your car is such of age if they fix it it will be better than what you have so we are going to give you only a kinda scratchy paint job.
