6.4 fuel and turbo upgrades?

So it's time for a new set of injectors the truck has 104k miles in it stock fuel and turbos on it know. I just put head gaskets in the truck this summer with studs and am looking for a little more power not going for 1000 hp just would like to break 650. At the wheels. The truck is a work truck and will pull a trailer this summer about 25-30k gvrw so with that sed who has any input on this. I am an inc in putting a lift pump on also but am not a big fan of the air dog as I have heard about a lot of failures with them. Putting in a New high psi pump also. For the injectors i was thinking ether stock or 15% nozzles and for the charger was thinking about just putting on a 71m atmosphere. Any one have this set up that is running around with some age and mileage. Thanks.

You can make 650-675 no problem on stock fuel. I would go with a little larger atmospheric charger though. Elite's 72mm or 76mm, or RCD's 72mm or 75mm. Any of those setups should be good for 650 or a little better with stock fuel. With larger nozzles, you run the risk of losing some top end power due to the stock K16's inability to keep up with a big tune.
dont add nozzles unless you are planning to run dual fuelers.

like Jeff said, any upgraded atmo plus a 59mm HP turbo will get you to your goal. I personally run a Barder 73mm atmo and an RCD 59mm HP turbo and love it.
Thanks for the input guys. I'll just stick with stock fuel and push some more air. Thanks with this set up 650-675 hp how will the stock trans hold up. I am running a stock trans with a precision converter now will this hold up or should I start looking into a BTS.

I think your pretty close to needing some transmission upgrades.
Is your TQ converter a low stall unit?

Good tuning will go a long way but the converter is definitely the weakest link. A simple rebuild with some Raybestos clutches and steels, billet input, and a converter. BTS doesn't really mess with the 6.4 stuff. They're more known for their 4R100 builds and mild 6.0L 5R builds.

SunCoast has some good rebuild kits. Other shops to look into are Elite Diesel a Engineering and Midwest Diesel & Auto. They both use Raybestos clutches in their kits. The best converters are River City Diesel (Precision based converter) and Diesel Performance Converters.
Towing 30,000 lbs with a 650+ tuned motor will need special considerations.
Are you planning to load a closer to stock HP tune to tow?
If you are planning to push big tunes for towing, the list of things I would do are huge.
What about the valve train? I'm in a similar spot and was thinking it was gonna take more than just upgrading 1 or both turbos so this is sounding pretty good.
I already have upgraded stainless steel valves and stronger Springs along with pushrods. This was done along with head studs. So engine internals wise I am set up a little better than most. sort or the going to the well and filling the bucket only planned on taking the heads off one time.
