So need a new converter i know 6.0L will fit my 7.3L but would a 6.4L be even better. Is it just a stock when and you mate it to a 4R100 or what?

A 6.0 converter will not just bolt up it has to be made with a 7.3 face..we have these converters. PM if we can help.

Just curious, whats wrong with aftermarket 4R100 converters? Are you concerned with price?

A PI Stallion converter can be had for right around $1000.

the 6.0 and 6.4 hold more torque,
iirc they make a newer 7.3 that has the same rating
used to be a spacer will work, iirc john woods had them.
racerx also had some sort of upgraded tc as well .
at a resonable cost...course there is always the di one as well

Cost is a good difference, a 6.0 converter used to be 400 or so vs 1k.
So for a budget build and mild build I think it is a good idea.
But don't expect it to hold the next 10 sec drag run.

OBSWIZ quoted me $760 shipped for the 6.0 converter and that included the $150 core charge. he said its good for 500+ hp which is way more than my truck will ever see. If i can ever come up with the money that is most likely the route i will go
