hey i got a 05 6.0 just recently put a liberator egr delete kit, arp studs and a aem brute force hd intake. all following after Fords told me my egr cooler was bad. after i got it all put back together thought i had a couple exhaust leaks and turbo pipe clamp was reason but since then its been sounding like a roller knock so i got it scaned and cyl 5 balance code came up. striped all down to valves and when i started it i noticed cyl 5 intake/ exhaust valves wasnt moving nor push rod and was wondering if anyone knew if the hydraulic roller goes should it still move the rod cuz of the cam or if there is no oil psi for that roller will it prevent from moving at all

thanks for the help

it depends how long its been grinding on the cam.if the pushrod isnt moving your in trouble no matter how you look at it.if you have a roller come apart, theres a good chance you need to go through the whole thing now.the needle bearings and junk go through everything, plus to r&r a cam the cranks gotta come out.
