Trust me, I got this...
It's a PTP Turbo Blanket iirc. The alternator is a DC Power 270 amp alt. Has a built in clutch and all sorts of things. Super cool unit. You might not be all the way there yet, but this is a major step forward!
Where did you get that wrap for the turbo? And what brand alternator is that? I'm assuming it's an HO unit?
I had the same problem with my truck. Granted mine is an 03-04 so it might be a little bit different. I was missing a ground inside the cab. Cluster did nothing other than throw a battery light. Theres a pink and yellow wire that needs to be grounded. It ties in to the brake switch, should be able to check for ground there. Finally got back on here after a few months. Truck looks awesome! Nice workSo, recently I have been trying to get this thing running, and I've found myself at a bit of a roadblock. I can key the truck on from the ignition, injectors buzz and fuel pump runs, but I cannot seem to get the dang thing to fire. All parameters check out, except that it has no FICM sync. Cam/crank sync, but no FICM to PCM sync. I am also almost certain that the instrument cluster I bought out of an 06 KR is toast; it gets power key on, as evidenced by the battery and airbag lights, but thats it. No other lights or gauges. Not sure if the cluster and FICM sync issues are related or not, but thats where I am at as of now, likely needing to get the cluster repaired, and figure out if my no sync is FICM, wiring, or PCM.
I might make another thread about it to get some outside thoughts about it, Im kinda pulling my hair out over it right now. I hate being so dang close but so far at the same time haha.
Shoot. Wish I would've seen this sooner! Do you just have the dash harness laid out in the truck for now or what? Mine was such a spaghetti mess trying to eliminate all of the nonsense. Let me know if you need diagrams or anything. I have access to prodemand so I can get just about anything you might need
