hi guys
doing my neighbors 6.0 now for him. He wanted to try the egr delete first before going ahead with the headgaskets. It's drinking a lot of coolant and overheating. I think its headgaskets.

I removed the intake and found all the intake ports to be quite wet and pretty clean (not gooey) the egr cooler end where it goes into the intake is black and sooty, so therefore it should be the headgaskets that are blown?

THanks

If the intake is wet then it stands to reason that the coolant loss is going through the egr cooler, yes?

but the outlet of the egr cooler (exhaust side) into the manifold is dry and sooty, so to me that means the egr is ok and the headgaskets are leaking into intake valve ports creating steam, im just trying to verify my theory,

Thinking I might put it back together with the egr delete and see what happens.
