hey im working on a 09 f550 with a freshly rebuilt 6.4 and 5r110 and it will load the engine like its in a gear but its like the brakes are stuck no matter if its in d or in 1 2 or 3 but in will move no problem in reverse and if you try driving to much it burns the clutches up hence the rebuilt trans im thinking wiring but i dont know where to start i know we add some grounds but it didnt help
the first pic is how the secund pic is layed out. this poor pickups been sitting for the last 5 years like this so time to fix it thanks for any help

Looking at your supply voltage to TCM it’s low at 11.5V with the truck running
ya i need to look into that
hey i got a update i pulled the trans harness tested it and its all good i pulled the pan and tested the solenoids power and ground and it all checks out?????
do i need to find a tcm or do i update this one the software is from 07
Where did you get the TCM from?

Something else may be going on if it acted the same with 2 different TCMs and 2 different transmissions. Are you confident your wiring on the outside of the transmission is sound and not hacked or pinned wrong some where?
im not sure on the pin out but i can get all the solenoids to move with 12v power at the tcm plug
Just to clarify the truck moves without binding with that plug disconnected from the trans ?

There has to be solenoids energized when they shouldn’t if it’s binding. The only thing applied in D should be forward. And that’s applied through the manual valve. My only guess is something with reverse hanging up. You can try leaving the reverse solenoid disconnected and see if it makes a difference.
ok ill try that it will be a day or two or else 2 weeks from now going on a trip so thanks for the info im realy looking forword to driving this thing

No worries enjoy your trip.

One other question I had was there anything else destroyed in the trans besides forward?
so the forward clutch was also messed up and i think the intermediate clutch was bad oh the pump was scored rely bed and the torque converter was bad so we got a rebuild one and the oil filter was also plugged and right full of clutch i think thats all but ill let you know if i think of more
Forward was the only one completely destroyed?

So according to this diagram the od brake and the forward clutch were burnt up and there was one set of clutches I couldn't get apart but I don't remember which one that was it's in side of the od clutch if you can make out where it goes I'll try to get better pics tomorrow

If that bottom pic has the OD OWC then that goes in the coast clutch drum. The top picture looks like forward.

Did the coast clutch drum gear separate from the drum?

Coast clutch solenoid is inversely proportional you didn’t mix up that solenoid correct? if you put a directly proportional solenoid in there it makes sense what’s happening.

no
so the guy we had working on it swapped the trans so many times he forgot which was the original one and so we think this one might have been burnt up because of abuse

that definitely roasted. Almost looks like the truck may have a ground issue (happens sometimes on 6.0s) where the ground for the truck passes through the pump.
Did you check to see if you by chance had the wrong type of solenoid in the coast clutch?
No can you interchange them i thought you couldnt get the e clip on if it was in the wrong place
Ok all the solenoids are in the right spot
