Really, 5 minutes. Took longer to down/upload the photograph and write the post than it did to do it.
7/32 nutdriver, blade screwdriver, 2 3/4 inch holesaw.
Edit: there was supposed to be a photograph attached. I'll try again.

thats funny for me it took longer to find the 7/32 or 5.5mm socket in my garage than it took to do it..lol

It is where you cut a hole in the grill support to allow air to flow through the grill and into your air intake more easily. I havent seen anyone get any actual performance gains from it yet though but it does work in theory. IMO.

I took about 10 minutes to do mine. I wanted as square a hole as I could get for the screen that's installed over the hole now

Yep, only 10 minutes and you can get a lot more rain water on your filter with no performance boost...
