02 f350 srw 4x4, when truck has been driven for a distance,shifts fine until it it good and warm, 20 miles + when i shift into reverse it takes off fast at idle speed, backing up to a trailer sucks, riding brake the whole time, RPMs aren't high, engine not reving but moves like on the throttle....anybody with a thought on this? also dont know much on history of truck, only had this one about a year.....thanks for any info.

It could be the torque converter partially locking up. Low transmission fluid could cause this. So could a loose/missing internal filter, worn seals, or a worn pump.

I had a similar problem, went to a reputable trans shop and had them drop the pan on their suggestion. Filter had dropped, trans was serviced year prior, filter must've been defective. All is good now.
