Hey all, i have a 03 7.3 CCSB 4x4. Truck is stock with 82k miles on it. I service the truck reguraly. Not sure if its a problem but when I get on the freeway on ramp and mash the pedal revs go to about red line but Im not really moving . Seems like it would go almost as quick with less pedal. Trans doesnt seem to be slipping but I could be wrong. Fluid is fresh and no debris was found with last fluid change.

Pretty vague I know but am i getting some slipping? Anything I can do to have it hold better like changing a spring on a acumulator(sp) or shift kit.
The shift in question is usally a 4th the drops down to 3rd.

Pretty vague I know but am i getting some slipping?

The way to determine if you're getting slip is to look at and smell the ATF. If it's black and burned it's slipping. If not, then it isn't slipping. If the trans is slipping at WOT it will destroy the ATF very quickly.

Low power is often caused by a partially plugged fuel filter.
