American colonists engaged the British regulars to begin the Revolution. My ancestors didn't get into the war until later--my 7th-Great Grandfather (or something like that) is documented to have crossed the Delaware with General Washington on Christmas 1776 but still, we'd all do well to remember the men who lined up on Lexington Green that day.

Those guys had nutz, thats for sure. It wasn't war like we fight today, it was line up 30 yards from your enemy and take turns firing on one another. I'm glad that men like them fought for and died establishing what we have here today. The shot heard 'round the world was the beginning of the greatest nation in this planet has seen or will ever see.
