The AC in the truck is not working.
It has been cold here for a while, so maybe this occurred earlier, and I just didn’t notice, but a few months ago, it was in the 80’s and I turned my AC on. It was blowing warm air, and has not worked since.
I have also noticed that the fan speed seems to adjust on its own. It will vary from fast to slow. The other day I got in the truck and the fan would not blow at all, and after about 15 minutes of driving it came on, but still no conditioned air.
I tried to recharge the system via the low side port, but it wouldn’t take any R134a because I don’t think the compressor is engaging. How can I get my compressor to engage in order for the system to accept refrigerant?
If it is a refrigerant issue, why would the fan speed vary, and why would the fan all of a sudden just not work?
Please help, I live in Florida and it’s about to get hot!
Thanks in advance.
