Hey guys is there any advantage of using a stock 2005 intake vs my stock 2003 intake manifold on my truck? I have a 2003 and it's all tore start and was wondering if I should get a 2005 intake manifold for it or not. Let me know u guys opinions.

Nope, there's is very little difference between the two. If you put a ported one on then yiu could tell a big difference.

Ya I right now don't have the extra cash to spend on a ported one. Only thing I thought may be easier not having the back piece that goes across engine.

They are not directly interchangable if you are keeping the EGR intact. Have you looked to see if you have a throttle plate? You may have the riser and just no plate like my 2003. One advantage to the newer intake is you can remove it without removing the turbo, the downside is easier to warp and no "balance tube" for air flow.

Yeah I'm just putting stock one back on it. The throttle plate is getting pulled off cause putting a aftermarket banks elbow on it.
