Hello I’m new here and have no idea what to do so I’m just going to go for it. I have a 2002 f250 crew cab with a 7.3. When I turn the lights on I only have headlights and the fog lights, turn signals and brake lights work. I have no brake lights, license plate lights or dash lights. I checked all fuses and replaced the main light switch. If I remove the light switch and jump from the hot wire to the brown wire all the lights come on. Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated

Well, not sure if this helps, but once my 2003 7.3L back lights started doing crazy stuff like that. Turned out to be mostly ground connection that got rusted/corroded over the years. There is also a bumper connector that had some burnt pins due to the problem. I hard wired the connector wires and removed the connector.
The ground wire is attached to the frame on the port side maybe slightly forward of back wheel on inside of the frame beam.
You can look this issue up as others have reported on this also

That happen to my 2000 f250, it was a bad ground under rear bumper on the frame.
