I have an '01 F250 with a 1C3P-EA trans code. Tranny is bad. Found a low-mileage 1C3P-EB to replace it, but don't want to run into a headache. Heard lots of rumors (speedo won't work, etc) so wanting to ask on here, since this community is usually 1000 percent more reliable than facebook. Thanks in advance to all who try to help!

Details: 2001 F250 Super Duty
2 wheel drive
all-wheel abs
7.3 Powerstroke
4-speed automatic
without PTO

Not sure about the part numbers, but the speedo is driven off the sensor in your rear diff, not the trans, so that shouldn't be affected.

To my understanding, all 4R100s that were behind a diesel, are the same. There is 2 other variations (that I know of) which were bell housing differences and gearing differences, to make them fit behind the BBF and SBF motors. So bottom line, if it came out of a diesel, it will fit.
