I just completely rebuilt my motor, new lpop, hpop, pistons, cam. Pretty much everything in new. I installed an auto meter low oil pressure gauge on top of the hpop where the factory oil pressure switch was located. But I'm only reading about 2 psi at idle. When I'm driving it goes to about 30 or so. It runs real smooth at idle and driving. Do I have an issue, or should I mount the pressure gauge some where better?

Make sure the bypass disc in the oil filter housing isn’t stuck open or fell out . They are bad for becoming un-staked in the housing .
Unscrew the oil filter and check it out
