I noticed driving to work this morning, my truck wasn't shifting properly.
For instance at 50mph I was over 2k rpm, let off and it would shift.

Does it take a flashing tow/haul light to show a code, or could there be codes without a flashing light.

I have no flashing light and its been fine up until today, fluid is nice red, not burned and right on the mark to full.

I have no CEL or flashing tow haul light. I also noticed with it at 36 degrees outside I was at about 120 degrees and it doesn't seem to have gotten that warm in the past since its so cold here in the past month or so.

In cold weather the torque converter won't lock until the trans warms up. That will cause higher RPMs.

ok thanks, then it should be nothing to worry about. I noticed this afternoon it was back to normal.

I'll check again throughout the week since it seems to be another 2 weeks of cold and snow
