That's why it's sketchy.Only if someone put a C6 into it, which has actually happened before.
Prob the same guy that calls an E4OD a 5 sp by counting the converter as a gear. :doh:That's why it's sketchy.
I was a little worried about that. That's why it's sketchy.
have people seriously done that?LOLProb the same guy that calls an E4OD a 5 sp by counting the converter as a gear.
They still do. If you really want an IDI go for it! They're great old trucks... old tech. If you're never going to want more than a 18sec 1/4 or 0-60 in 1 calender year they're great work horses. I pulled some heavy loads with mine just not real fast and 40mph up hill. That's the rub. My weakass 96' PSD 281,000 miles w/just an intake will tow another truck on a trailer faster than the IDI on it's own + get 10-12 mpg doing that and 16-18 empty. Don't use $ as a deciding factor either, my 96' was $1750 with new AC. I've spent another $200-300 on her. Something I've learned in the last few weeks is the truck want to run hard! I was having a prob with my 96' turned out to be bad fuel, I pulled a 1ton dually 4x4 home from Mo grossing 16k passing everything in my way because my trailer lights quit and I had to get home b4 dark. the harder I pushed the better it ran.have people seriously done that?LOL
Yeah all i want it for is a work truck so i wont feel bad beating it up. im thinking ill give dp-tuner a call once i get this 7.3 home. They still do. If you really want an IDI go for it! its just a DI turdo diesel.if it is an IDI, a tuner will do nothing for it because the IDI does not have a computer.
